Refund policy
Last updated: July 2026
Overview
Savlo provides digital, professional and subscription-based services. These include SEO, link building, guest-post outreach, Shopify and ecommerce SEO, Shopify website design, website maintenance, website performance support, conversion optimisation and strategic advisory services.
Because Savlo supplies services rather than physical products, traditional product returns do not normally apply. Refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased, whether work has started, the amount of work already completed and any costs already incurred.
This Return and Refund Policy should be read together with Savlo’s Cancellation and Refund Policy and Terms of Service.
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

2. No Physical Product Returns
Savlo does not normally sell physical products. Therefore, customers are not required to return physical goods when requesting a cancellation or refund for a Savlo service.
Website files, designs, reports, written content, SEO work, digital deliverables and other completed work cannot be physically returned after they have been supplied.
Where Savlo begins selling physical products in the future, separate return conditions may apply to those products.
3. One-Time and Project-Based Services
One-time and project-based services may be cancelled before work begins.
Where Savlo has not started work, allocated resources or incurred costs relating to the order, the payment will normally be refunded in full.
Once work has started, Savlo may deduct the reasonable value of:
- Research and planning already completed
- Keyword or competitor research
- Website audits and technical analysis
- SEO strategies already prepared
- Content already written or edited
- Website optimisation already completed
- Design or development work
- Customer meetings or advisory work
- Staff or specialist time
- Publisher outreach
- Backlink or guest-post arrangements
- Third-party services or licences
- Other costs directly connected with the order
Where only part of the service has been completed, Savlo will consider whether a partial refund is due for the part that has not been completed, supplied or committed.
Completed and approved work is normally non-refundable, except where required by law or where Savlo has failed to provide the agreed service.
4. Link-Building and Guest-Post Services
Link-building and guest-post campaigns may involve:
- Website research
- Publisher selection
- Competitor analysis
- Content creation
- Blogger outreach
- Publisher negotiations
- Placement reservations
- Publisher payments
- Link monitoring and reporting
A link-building or guest-post order may normally be cancelled before outreach, content creation or placement work begins.
Once Savlo has started outreach, produced content, secured publisher approval, reserved a placement or paid a publisher, the relevant part of the order will normally be non-refundable.
Refunds are not normally available for:
- Guest posts that have already been published
- Backlinks that have already been placed
- Publisher fees that have already been paid
- Placements approved by the customer
- Content already written or supplied
- Outreach work already completed
- Placements already confirmed or reserved
Savlo does not own or control third-party publisher websites. Publishers may change their requirements, publication dates, website content, links, ownership or editorial policies.
Where an agreed placement cannot be delivered, Savlo may offer one or more of the following:
- A suitable replacement placement
- An alternative publisher
- Account credit
- A partial refund
- A refund for the undelivered placement
The remedy offered will depend on the circumstances and the work already completed.
A refund will not normally be provided solely because a third-party publisher later changes or removes a published link, unless a specific replacement or placement guarantee was included in the purchased service.
5. Shopify Website Design and Development
Shopify website design, setup and redesign projects may be cancelled before work begins.
Once Savlo starts planning, designing, configuring or developing the website, the project will be considered in progress.
Work may include:
- Website planning
- Theme research or selection
- Theme installation
- Theme customisation
- Store configuration
- Navigation setup
- Collection setup
- Product setup
- Page design
- Content preparation
- Application installation
- Domain configuration
- Coding or development
- Search engine optimisation
- Mobile optimisation
- Testing and quality checks
Where a project is cancelled after work has started, Savlo may retain payment for work already completed and reasonable costs already incurred.
Themes, applications, domains, software, licences, stock images and other third-party services purchased specifically for the customer are normally non-refundable once purchased or activated, unless the third-party provider agrees to issue a refund.
Requests for design changes that fall within the agreed project scope will be handled through the revision process stated in the service description or project agreement.
A refund will not normally be provided because the customer changes their personal preference after approving a design, layout, theme, page or other deliverable.
6. SEO and Ecommerce Services
Savlo will provide its SEO and ecommerce services using reasonable care and skill.
However, search engine results are affected by factors outside Savlo’s direct control, including:
- Search engine algorithm updates
- Competitor activity
- Website history
- Domain authority
- Customer changes to the website
- Technical website problems
- Market demand
- Product pricing
- Website usability
- Customer reviews and reputation
- Third-party platforms
- The time required for search engines to process changes
Unless a specific written guarantee is included in the purchased service, Savlo does not guarantee:
- A particular Google ranking
- A first-page position
- A specific increase in traffic
- A specific number of enquiries
- A specific number of sales
- A particular revenue increase
- Permanent keyword positions
Refunds will not normally be provided solely because:
- A keyword does not reach a particular position
- Rankings change or decline
- Results take longer than expected
- Website traffic does not increase by a specific amount
- A customer does not receive a particular number of sales or enquiries
- A search engine releases an algorithm update
- A competitor achieves a higher ranking
This does not affect your rights where Savlo has failed to provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
7. Monthly Subscription Services
Subscription services may include:
- Monthly website SEO
- Shopify SEO plans
- Ecommerce SEO plans
- Link-building plans
- Website maintenance
- Priority Shopify support
- Performance and conversion services
- SEO consulting
- Ecommerce advisory services
- Ongoing growth plans
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis at the frequency shown when the order is placed.
Customers may cancel a subscription before the next renewal date. The service will normally remain active until the end of the current paid billing period, after which no further renewal payments will be taken.
Payments for a current billing period are normally non-refundable where:
- Work has already started
- Services have already been supplied
- Resources have been allocated
- Reports, advice or deliverables have been provided
- Publisher or third-party costs have been incurred
Where no work has started during the current billing period, Savlo may consider a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances and any applicable statutory rights.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically cancel or refund:
- Separate one-time projects
- Additional services
- Guest-post placements
- Publisher costs
- Third-party purchases
- Work already completed
- Work already approved or committed
Customers should submit their cancellation request before the next renewal payment is processed.
8. UK Consumer Cancellation Rights
This section applies where a customer purchases Savlo’s services as a UK consumer rather than wholly or mainly for business purposes.
Where legally applicable, a consumer who purchases a service online may have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of entering into it.
The consumer does not need to provide a reason for exercising an applicable statutory cancellation right.
Where the consumer expressly asks Savlo to begin providing the service during the 14-day cancellation period, Savlo may charge a proportionate amount for the work supplied before the cancellation request is received.
If the service is fully completed during the cancellation period following the consumer’s express request for work to begin and acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost following full performance, the right to cancel may end when the service is fully completed.
Consumer cancellation rights generally do not apply where the service is purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts any statutory consumer right.
9. Services Not Provided as Agreed
Customers should contact Savlo promptly if they believe a service:
- Has not been supplied as described
- Has not been completed with reasonable care and skill
- Contains a significant error
- Is materially different from the agreed service
- Has not been delivered within an agreed timeframe
Savlo will review the issue and may offer an appropriate remedy, including:
- Correcting the work
- Repeating the affected service
- Completing missing work
- Providing a replacement deliverable
- Providing an alternative placement
- Extending the service period
- Issuing account credit
- Providing a partial refund
- Providing a full refund
Savlo may first be given a reasonable opportunity to correct or repeat the service where this is possible and appropriate.
Where correction or repeat performance is impossible, cannot be completed within a reasonable time or would cause significant inconvenience, Savlo will consider an appropriate price reduction or refund.
10. Customer Changes of Mind
A change of mind does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund after work has started.
Examples include deciding:
- Not to continue with a website
- Not to use completed SEO work
- To change the business name or brand
- To close or sell the business
- To move to another service provider
- To abandon a product or project
- To use a different theme or design after approval
Savlo will consider the work completed and costs incurred when deciding whether any partial refund is available.
11. Customer Delays
Customers are responsible for providing the information, content, access, approvals and instructions reasonably required to deliver the service.
Refunds will not normally be provided where a delay or failure to complete the service is caused by the customer’s failure to provide:
- Website or Shopify access
- Product information
- Business information
- Content or images
- Design instructions
- Required approvals
- Timely responses
- Other information reasonably requested by Savlo
Savlo may pause the service until the required information is received.
A customer delay does not cancel the order or make completed work refundable.
12. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
Where a customer is charged twice because of a payment-processing error, Savlo will refund the duplicate payment after confirming the transaction.
Customers should contact Savlo promptly if they believe:
- They have been charged twice
- The wrong amount has been charged
- A cancelled subscription has renewed incorrectly
- An unauthorised payment has been taken
Savlo will investigate the payment and issue a refund where an error is confirmed.
13. Refund Deductions
Where a refund is due after work has started, Savlo may deduct a reasonable amount for:
- Work already supplied
- Time already spent
- Deliverables already provided
- Content already created
- Website changes already completed
- Publisher costs
- Third-party purchases
- Non-refundable licences or applications
- Other reasonable and documented costs
Any deduction will be based on the work and costs connected with the customer’s order. Savlo will not apply an excessive or disproportionate cancellation charge.
14. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method is expressly agreed.
Where a statutory consumer cancellation right applies, Savlo will process the refund within the legally required period.
For other approved refunds, Savlo will process the payment as soon as reasonably possible.
After Savlo issues a refund, the time taken for it to appear in the customer’s account will depend on the bank, card provider or payment processor.
Savlo is not responsible for processing delays caused by the customer’s bank or payment provider.
15. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email:
Please provide:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The email address used for the order
- The service purchased
- The date of purchase
- The reason for the refund request
- Details of any problem with the service
- Any relevant supporting information
Savlo may request further information where reasonably necessary to investigate the request.
Submitting a refund request does not automatically mean that a full refund will be approved.
Each request will be reviewed according to:
- The service purchased
- The agreed scope of work
- The work already completed
- The costs already incurred
- The reason for the request
- The customer’s applicable statutory rights
16. Changes to This Policy
Savlo may update this Return and Refund Policy to reflect changes to its services, business practices or legal obligations.
The version published on the Savlo website at the time of the customer’s order will normally apply to that purchase, except where a change is required by law.
