Cancellation policy

Last updated: July 2026

Savlo provides one-time digital services, project-based services and recurring monthly subscription services.

Our services include SEO, link building, guest-post outreach, Shopify and ecommerce SEO, website design, website maintenance, conversion optimisation, website performance support and strategic advisory services.

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled.

1. One-Time and Project-Based Services

One-time and project-based services may include:

  • Shopify website design and store setup
  • Shopify website redesign
  • Website SEO audits
  • Technical SEO services
  • SEO optimisation campaigns
  • Keyword optimisation services
  • Link-building campaigns
  • Guest-post placements
  • Blogger outreach
  • Product and collection-page SEO
  • Local SEO services
  • Ecommerce SEO
  • Website performance optimisation
  • Conversion optimisation
  • Consulting and strategic advisory work

You may request to cancel a one-time or project-based service before work begins.

Where no work has started and Savlo has not incurred any costs relating to the order, the payment will normally be refunded in full.

Once work has started, cancellation and refund eligibility will depend on the work already completed and any costs or commitments already incurred by Savlo.

Savlo may deduct a reasonable amount for:

  • Research, analysis or planning already completed
  • Keyword or competitor research
  • SEO audits or technical reviews
  • Content already written or prepared
  • Design or development work already completed
  • Website changes or optimisation already carried out
  • Publisher outreach already undertaken
  • Backlink or guest-post placements already arranged
  • Staff or specialist time allocated to the project
  • Third-party services purchased for the order
  • Any other reasonable costs directly connected with delivering the service

Where appropriate, Savlo may refund any remaining balance relating to work that has not been completed, supplied or committed.

2. Link-Building and Guest-Post Services

Link-building and guest-post services may involve research, website selection, content preparation, publisher outreach, placement negotiations and payments to third-party publishers.

A link-building or guest-post order may be cancelled before outreach, content creation or placement work begins.

Once Savlo has started outreach, created content, secured publisher approval, paid a publisher or committed to a placement, the relevant part of the order will no longer be refundable.

Refunds cannot normally be provided for:

  • Backlinks or guest posts that have already been published
  • Placements that have been approved by the customer
  • Content that has already been written or supplied
  • Publisher fees that have already been paid
  • Placements that have been confirmed or reserved
  • Outreach work that has already been completed

Savlo does not control third-party websites or publishers. A publisher may change, delay, reject, amend or remove content or links.

Where Savlo cannot provide an agreed placement, Savlo may offer:

  • A suitable replacement placement
  • An alternative publisher
  • Account credit
  • A refund for the undelivered part of the service

The most appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances of the order.

3. Shopify Website Design and Development

Shopify website design, redesign and development projects may be cancelled before work begins.

Once Savlo has started planning, designing, configuring, customising or developing the Shopify store, Savlo may retain payment for the work already completed and for reasonable project costs already incurred.

Work may be considered started when Savlo begins:

  • Website planning
  • Theme selection or installation
  • Theme customisation
  • Store configuration
  • Navigation or collection setup
  • Product setup
  • Page design
  • Application installation
  • Domain or technical configuration
  • Content preparation
  • Search engine optimisation
  • Development or coding

Themes, applications, domains, licences, images, software and other third-party services purchased specifically for the customer are normally non-refundable once purchased or activated, unless the third-party supplier agrees to issue a refund.

Completed and approved design, configuration and development work is non-refundable, except where required by law or where Savlo has failed to provide the agreed service.

4. SEO and Ecommerce Services

SEO results depend on many factors outside Savlo’s direct control, including search engine algorithms, competitors, website history, market conditions, customer cooperation and changes made by third parties.

Savlo does not guarantee specific keyword positions, traffic levels, sales, leads or revenue unless a written guarantee is expressly included in the purchased service.

Payments will not normally be refunded solely because:

  • A keyword has not reached a particular position
  • Website traffic has not increased by a particular amount
  • A search engine ranking has changed
  • A customer has not received a particular number of sales or enquiries
  • A search engine has updated its algorithm
  • A competitor’s ranking has improved
  • Results take longer than the customer expected

This does not affect your rights where Savlo has failed to provide the service with reasonable care and skill or has not delivered the service described in your order.

5. Monthly Subscription Services

Monthly subscription services may include:

  • Website SEO plans
  • Shopify SEO plans
  • Ecommerce SEO plans
  • Link-building plans
  • Website maintenance
  • Priority Shopify support
  • Website performance care
  • Conversion and growth services
  • SEO consulting
  • Ecommerce advisory plans

You may cancel a monthly subscription at any time before its next renewal date.

After cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.
  • No further subscription payments will be taken after the cancellation has been processed.
  • Services included in the current billing period will normally continue until that billing period ends.
  • Payments already made for the current billing period are normally non-refundable where work has started, services have been supplied or resources have been allocated.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically cancel or refund:

  • Separate one-time projects
  • Additional services
  • Third-party purchases
  • Guest-post placements
  • Publisher costs
  • Backlinks already arranged
  • Work already completed or committed

You are responsible for submitting your cancellation request before the next renewal payment is processed.

Where a renewal payment has already been processed before Savlo receives your cancellation request, the cancellation will normally apply from the following billing period, subject to your applicable statutory rights.

6. Commencement of Work

Savlo may begin work shortly after your order has been confirmed and payment has been received.

Work will be considered to have started when Savlo begins any part of the service, including:

  • Reviewing your website or account
  • Communicating with you about project requirements
  • Conducting research or analysis
  • Performing keyword research
  • Carrying out competitor analysis
  • Auditing your website
  • Preparing a strategy
  • Creating or editing content
  • Contacting publishers
  • Negotiating placements
  • Designing or developing your website
  • Making website changes
  • Allocating staff, specialists or other resources to the project
  • Purchasing or committing to third-party services

By expressly asking Savlo to begin work immediately, you acknowledge that your cancellation and refund rights may be affected once work has started.

7. UK Consumer Cancellation Rights

This section applies where you purchase Savlo’s services as a UK consumer rather than wholly or mainly for business purposes.

Where legally applicable, you may have the right to cancel an online service contract within 14 days of the date the contract is entered into.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising an applicable statutory cancellation right.

Where you expressly request that Savlo begins providing the service during the 14-day cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the work supplied before Savlo receives your cancellation request.

The amount charged will reflect the service already provided and any reasonable costs already incurred.

Where a service is fully completed during the 14-day cancellation period following your express request for work to begin and your acknowledgement that the right to cancel will be lost once the service is fully performed, your statutory right to cancel may end when the service is completed.

Consumer cancellation rights generally do not apply where the service is purchased wholly or mainly for business purposes.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

8. Refunds

Refund requests will be reviewed according to:

  • The type of service purchased
  • Whether work has started
  • The amount of work completed
  • Whether deliverables have already been supplied
  • Whether content or placements have been approved
  • Whether third-party costs have been incurred
  • Whether resources have been allocated
  • Whether the service can still reasonably be cancelled
  • The terms of the purchased service
  • Any statutory rights that apply to the customer

Completed work, approved deliverables, published placements and third-party costs are normally non-refundable, except where required by law.

Savlo will not refuse a refund where the customer has a legal right to receive one.

Where a partial refund is appropriate, Savlo may deduct the reasonable value of work already supplied and costs already incurred.

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method.

The time taken for an approved refund to appear in your account will depend on your bank, card provider or payment processor.

9. Services Not Delivered as Agreed

Please contact Savlo promptly if you believe that a service has not been delivered as described or agreed.

Savlo will review the issue and may, where appropriate:

  • Correct the affected work
  • Repeat the affected service
  • Provide a suitable replacement
  • Supply an alternative placement
  • Extend the service period
  • Provide account credit
  • Issue a partial refund
  • Issue a full refund

The appropriate remedy will depend on the type of service, the work already completed and the circumstances of the order.

10. Customer Delays and Failure to Provide Information

Customers are responsible for providing the information, content, access, approvals and instructions reasonably required for Savlo to deliver the purchased service.

Savlo will not be responsible for delays caused by:

  • Missing or incorrect information
  • Delayed customer responses
  • Failure to provide website or Shopify access
  • Delayed content or design approval
  • Changes requested after work has started
  • Third-party providers
  • Publishers
  • Website hosting companies
  • Shopify applications or themes
  • Search engines or platform outages

A customer delay does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel completed work or receive a refund.

Where a customer fails to provide the required information or access for an extended period, Savlo may pause the service until the required information is received.

11. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, email:

hello@savlo.co.uk

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Your order number
  • The service or subscription purchased
  • The email address used to place the order
  • The reason for cancellation, where you are willing to provide one
  • The date of your cancellation request

Your cancellation request will take effect from the date it is received by Savlo.

Savlo will send written confirmation after the request has been reviewed and processed.

Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically entitle you to a full refund where work has already started, services have been supplied or costs have been incurred.

12. Changes to This Policy

Savlo may update this Cancellation and Refund Policy periodically to reflect changes to its services, business practices or legal obligations.

The version of this policy published on the Savlo website at the time of your order will normally apply to your purchase, except where a change is required by law.
